Catherine MacLellan

Catherine MacLellan, a Canadian folk singer-songwriter, was born and raised in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. After releasing her debut album in 2004, MacLellan earned immediate critical acclaim, labeled Critics Favourite New Discovery by Penguin Eggs magazine in 2008. Since then, she has toured internationally extensively and her music has been a perennial fixture at the top of Canada’s Roots Music charts, winning acclaim from international media. MacLellan’s list of award nominations and wins is lengthy, and includes ECMAs, Canadian Folk Music Awards, and most recently the 2015 Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year.

Jenn Grant

Jenn Grant, born on Prince Edward Island and raised in Halifax, is a Canadian singer/songwriter Grant who rose to local attention in 2005 with her jazzy, Feist-influenced folk/pop. A Juno nominee, Polaris Prize listed and ECMA winner, Jenn has been touring steadily around the globe since the release of her two time Juno nominated album, Compostela. Grant continues to receive much acclaim across the country and beyond. She is a dynamic member of a thriving East Coast artist community, and features many notable local artists on her albums including Old Man Luedecke, Rose Cousins, Erin Costello, Buck 65, and Ron Sexsmith.

Dennis Ellsworth

Islander, Dennis Ellsworth, who was well known in late nineties for his group The Rude Mechanicals and later the Haunted Hearts, is now better known for his prolific song-writing and collaborations. Ellsworth’s solo journey started in 2012 with his award-winning album, Dusk Dreams, which confirmed that he’d found the right musical path. In 2014, Ellsworth was named one of Canada’s top ten new artists by the judges of the CBC Searchlight Contest. He also performed at the Lincoln Centre in New York City as one of twelve finalists in the International New Song Contest.
